Jouw rol als Technisch Inkoper

Als Technisch Inkoper ben je verantwoordelijk voor het operationele inkoopproces. Dit bestaat uit: Sourcing van leveranciers, actief ondersteunen van de projectteams door een continue levering van de benodigde goeden en materialen en het signaleren en communiceren van eventuele supply chain gerelateerde problemen welke een bedreiging kunnen vormen voor de bedrijfsvoering. Je coördineert commerciële relaties met zowel nieuwe als bestaande leveranciers en lost zaken op die zich in dit proces kunnen voordoen. Met jouw grondigheid en doorzettingsvermogen, vorm je de brug tussen onze organisatie en onze leveranciers.

In deze rol rapporteer je aan de Supply Chain Project Lead.

In aanvulling op bovenstaande, zijn je belangrijkste taken en verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Coördineren van inkoop gerelateerde zaken vanuit de afdelingen sales- en R&D
  • Verrichten van marktonderzoek en leveranciersanalyses;
  • Verwerken van inkooporders en het opstellen van rapportages voor het SCM-team om het beste product en de beste service te bieden aan (interne) klanten;
  • Supply Chain processen verankeren in de organisatie en zorgen voor verdere optimalisatie en standaardisatie;
  • Door ontwikkelen van leveranciersportfolio en beheer van leveranciersrelaties. Onderhandelen over bestaande en nieuwe leverancierscontracten;
  • Begeleiden van het inkoopproces voor specifieke goederen, in overeenstemming met de gespecificeerde kosten, kwaliteit en leveringsdoelen;
  • Actief deelnemen aan prestatiebeoordelingen en evaluaties van leveranciers;
  • Zorgdragen voor een continue aanvoer van de benodigde goederen en materialen, en het signaleren en communiceren van eventuele leveringsproblemen die een impact kunnen hebben op de bedrijfsvoering;
  • Initiëren van kostenbesparingen en meewerken aan verbeterprojecten;
  • Monitoren van trends in de markt, strategieën van concurrenten en marktleveranciers;
  • Contact opnemen met leveranciers om prijs-, kwaliteit-, leverings-, of factuurproblemen op te lossen.

Wat verwachten wij van jou?

  • HBO werk- en denkniveau met relevante werkervaring in een technische omgeving;
  • 3-5 jaar ervaring in een soortgelijke rol;
  • Werkervaring binnen de Automotive branche is een pre;
  • Je beschikt over de basiskennis voor het lezen van een technische tekening;
  • Analytisch inzicht in Supply Chain procedures;
  • Je hebt een proactieve houding, werkt gestructureerd, en bent bovenal een teamspeler;
  • Hands-on mentaliteit;
  • Je beschikt over uitstekende interpersoonlijke- en onderhandelingsvaardigheden;
  • Goede communicatievaardigheden in het Engels en Nederlands, zowel in woord als geschrift. Andere talen zijn een plus.

What are your responsibilities as Quality Engineer?

As Quality Engineer you participate in R&D Applied Development projects to assure together with the team the quality and reliability of our products. You facilitate Risk Analysis and monitor and report the Quality performance. Together with our Supplier Quality Engineer in China you are responsible for Supplier Qualification & Release and Supplier Development. With your Quality Mindset you drive Continuous Improvement of our processes and support deployment and continuous improvement of our QMS activities.

In this role you are reporting to the Quality Manager.

Your main tasks are:

  • Participate in R&D Applied Project teams and together with the project team assure the Quality Standard is fulfilled
  • Plan and perform Quality activities as defined in the APQP Process, Facilitate Risk analyses and Monitor Quality Performance
  • Qualification and Release Supplier processes according to e-Traction standards and specifications
  • Manage & Control of Non-Conformities and support suppliers where necessary to close actions
  • Supplier Improvement based on Quality Performance and Quality Standards
  • Support of continuous improvement of the QMS and support other functions in the deployment of the QMS and implemented automotive standards
  • Perform Internal and External audits

What do we expect from you?

  • Bachelor / Master level in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electro technique, or Technical Business Administration, eventually supplemented with relevant Quality courses;
  • Project management Skills;
  • Good knowledge of Automotive Standards and tools;
  • Experience or certification in (in-, and external auditing) ISO9001 and or IATF;
  • Knowledge and experience in Quality methods as Risk analyses, Problem solving techniques, Statistics, APQP, PPAP etc.);
  • Relevant experience of Quality engineering in an applied product development environment to fulfil mentioned challenges;
  • Pro-active, team player, strong in planning & organizing and having overview, hands on mentality and going the extra mile;
  • You have good communication skills in Dutch and English, both oral and written;

We developed a unique electric in-wheel powertrain technology which offers the essence of pure direct drive power. With our sustainable technology only a bare minimum of components is required to reach the highest efciency level. The simplicity of our drivetrain is the ultimate sophistication.

The core of e-Traction’s product portfolio is a program called TheMotion. TheMotion covers the three fundamental elements of electric drive-train systems: TheWheel, TheDrive and TheControl PCM.

Assignment description

This assignment is about contribution to the development of software tooling (EDiSA) necessary to perform the following activities with a number of ECUs present in our TheMotion system:

  • Symptom and error based diagnostics.
  • Calibration of parameters that influence the behaviour of the individual components.
  • The execution of test sequences during production, commissioning and test activities.
  • The download of ECU software and data.

EDiSA will be designed such that both local (by means of CANbus communication) and remote (by means of 3G/4G internet) connections are possible. Since EDiSA is applied in an automotive environment, many industry standards apply such as:

  • UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services)
  • ODX (Open Diagnostic Data Exchange)
  • OTX (Open Test sequence eXchange)
  • ISO-TP (Transport Layer) - ISO 15765-2
  • SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) J1939
  • CAN 2.0B
  • D-PDU API (ISO 22900-2) - Standardized Vehicle Access
  • D-Server API (ISO 22900)

From the technology side a lower-layer software solution is used from a supplier that provides an API towards our custom designed GUI. The software design is performed using C# .NET and the Windows Presentation Foundation. The candidate will focus on the following topics that are part of the assignment shown underneath in order of priority.

  • EDiSA requirements engineering
  • Authoring of ODX files that specify all ECU data
  • Authoring of OTX files that specify our ECU diagnostic sequences
  • Defining a functional and technical approach for guided diagnostics
  • Defining a technical approach for remote vehicle communication, data storage and analysis.

The research question

  • Specify, develop and validate diagnostic tooling functionality for an in-wheel motor based electric power-train.

The assignment consists of

  • Literature study on the automotive diagnostic domain, procedures and standards
  • Authoring of diagnostic data and procedures
  • Verification of EDiSA procedures
  • Documentation of the findings, design and verification results

Colleague in the spotlight – Dick van Tongeren

Dick (68) currently lives in Apeldoorn, he is married and has a daughter. After retiring, Dick joined the e-Traction team as test driver. When presented with the opportunity, he knew it was something in his field of interest and did not hesitate to accept. “I like being a test driver because I like to drive and the bus has a lot of automation. Electric powertrains for commercial vehicles, such as city buses and trucks, find themselves in great interest, due to environmental issues.
