Your role as a Control Engineer?

As a Control Engineer you will be part of e-Traction’s Research & Innovation team and contribute to further development of our Electric Powertrain Technology by designing and validating control algorithms to ensure our products are able to meet customer requirements. e-Traction conforms to the Automotive APQP product development process and uses tools such as Math Works an MATLAB Simulink. You will work together with colleagues from various disciplines.

As we are working on cutting edge technology, our product development is continuously facing a number of design challenges. On top, cost engineering, design for manufacturing and reliability engineering will be focus elements during the development stage. If you feel at home in such a challenging environment, where you can make the difference, then this is your job! 

Main task and responsibilities are:

  • Developing plant models and modelling control algorithms;
  • Design and validation of control algorithms by means of simulation and testing;
  • Analysis and translation into plant models of complex mechatronics systems;
  • Integration of the (motor) controller in the hardware platform and the complete system;
  • Cooperate closely with engineers from different expertise to ensure system integrity;
  • Model verification using a Unit Testing approach, MIL and HIL techniques;
  • Work in project team(s) as well as with customers.

Profile

  • Master or Bachelor level in (Technical) Computer Science, Control Systems-, Automotive- or Electrical Engineering;
  • Experienced in or affinity for working in an Automotive environment;
  • Knowledge of electric powertrain systems including high voltage inverters and the control of electric motors;
  • Experienced with MATLAB Simulink and related toolboxes;
  • Experienced in Model Based Design, including code generation;
  • Experienced in verification and validation techniques (MIL/HIL);
  • Being able to be an inspiring, motivating and supportive member of a team of technical professionals;
  • Experienced in Automotive development processes and tools (such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, etc.) is a plus;
  • Pro-active, team player, hands-on mentality, going the extra mile;
  • Experience with Electric or Hybrid Technology is a big plus;
  • You have good communication skills in English, both oral and written, where Dutch is a plus.

Your role as a Senior Mechanical Engineer?

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you boost the development of both Electric Powertrain technology and associated inverter technology. You will develop innovative concepts and contribute to the design and validation of components, systems and subsystems. e-Traction conforms to the Automotive APQP product development process and uses tools such as Creo parametric and Windchill. You will work with colleagues from various disciplines and with suppliers in a multi-disciplinary environment.

As we are working on cutting edge technology, our product development is continuously facing a number of design challenges. On top, cost engineering, design for manufacturing and reliability engineering will be focus elements during the development stage. If you feel at home in such a challenging environment, where you can make the difference, then this is your job!


Main task and responsibilities are:

  • Write and maintain requirements;
  • Create innovative designs and execute studies on new systems;
  • Design, develop and validate mechanical constructions;
  • Analyse the available options on feasibility concerning function, design, cost and manufacturing
  • Work closely together with internal departments and external suppliers and understand voice of the customer;
  • Analyse integrity of design and mechanical deliverables in line with legal, safety and customer requirements;
  • Make test plans and execute tests to prove feasibility of concepts;
  • Document all process steps for both internal and external use.

Profile

  • Master level in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace engineering;
  • At least 10 years of experience in an Automotive environment;
  • Strong knowledge of Vehicle / chassis and suspension engineering. Thermal engineering is a plus;
  • Knowledge of and experience in Electric or Hybrid Technology is a big plus;
  • Experienced in reliability engineering, CAE and cost engineering;
  • Being able to be an inspiring, motivating and supportive member of a team of technical professionals;
  • Experience in Automotive development processes and tools (such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, etc.) is a plus;

Your role as a Software Engineer

e-Traction is looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineer (Junior level) for development, implementation, testing and documentation of software used for diagnostics and service activities. e-Traction has developed a diagnostic service application which is meeting all automotive industry standards such as: OTX, ODX, UDS and more. The technology employed to develop this solution is based on .NET WPF for the application. The portal website is developed using ASP.NET and MVC. As a Junior Software Engineer you will contribute actively to this development such that future changes and requested features will be added to the framework. Secondly you will provide an active contribution in the discussion with stakeholders regarding the functions and features of the application.

 Are you a quality and results driven Software Engineer and ready for the second step in your career, then we want you to join e-Traction. What we ask:

Tasks

  •       Development and implementation of software according to the e-Traction development processes;
  •       Testing and debugging software modules on both unit and system level;
  •       Documentation of software both for internal and external use by the customer;

Profile

  •       Master or Bachelor in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Embedded Systems;
  •       Experience with C#, UML
  •       Experience with Microsoft .NET
  •       Other related technologies are: ASP.NET, MVC (Razor), WPF, Microsoft SQL
  •       Knowledge on automotive diagnostics standards is a pre.
  •       Minimum 2 years’ experience.

Your role as a Functional Safety Engineer

To boost the development of both in-wheel motor technology and the associated inverter technology we have an immediate need for a Functional Safety Engineer. The Functional Safety Engineer is responsible for the planning, specification and application of automotive functional safety activities according to ISO 26262. These activities will enhance the safety of our electric driveline solutions. The solutions are developed by means of “state of the art” technologies, methods and tools such as Enterprise Architect and Medini Analyze. You will work with colleagues from various disciplines in a multi-disciplinary environment.

As we are working on cutting edge technology, our development team is continuously facing a number of design challenges, were proving a solid safety concept is one of them. What we ask:

 

Tasks

  • Specifying and moderating functional safety analysis sessions.
  • Defining practical approaches for our developers by means of process definitions, methods and tools.
  • Defining verification and validation approaches to confirm the correct implementation of our safety concept.
  • Interacting with external functional safety experts for evaluation, assessment and certification purposes.

Profile

  • Master or Bachelor level in (Technical) Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Automotive or Electrical Engineering;
  • At least 3 years of experience in an equivalent position (preferred in an Automotive environment);
  • Good knowledge of functional safety in general. (ISO 26262, IEC61508 or comparable)
  • Knowledge of hardware and software development techniques and tools;
  • Experienced in the safety analysis such as: FME(D)A and FTA;
  • Pro-active, team player, hands-on mentality, going the extra mile;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Fluent in English.
