HIGH TRANSPORTATION FUEL COST REDUCED BY NEW TECHNOLOGY

A leading Dutch research institute (T.N.O.) confirmed that a newly developed light-weight bus equipped with the (patent pending) e-Traction® System achieved 14.8 MPG, approximately 3 times the mileage of the most fuel efficient conventional diesel buses.  The centerpiece of the e-Traction® System is the electric, direct-drive wheel hub motor that the company claims will revolutionize the way vehicles will be operated in the future.

”Friction between the moving parts of a vehicle drive train is the primary culprit in causing both the low fuel mileage and disappointing endurance of electric vehicles” says Arjan Heinen, the Chief Technology Officer of e-Traction®, who has been working on this invention since 1995.  “Our wheel hub units have only one moving part, what could be simpler”.

In addition to fuel efficient, the e-Traction® equipped buses are both clean and quiet.  The e-Traction® buses operate with a small fuel-efficient, on-demand diesel generator.  In part, because the bus uses much less fuel, comparable air pollution has been reduced by about 85%.  The noise level hovers around 58 decibels, a fraction of the conventional bus level.

The e-Traction® technology is extremely versatile, from new vehicle construction to existing retrofit.  In addition, the technology has many industrial and military applications.
